I always love when the guys at Pete Black Plumbing call me up to film with them! Every time, it’s an adventure—whether we’re out on a job site or working with a local business, there’s always something new to capture. This time, we were back in downtown Howell, fixing a main city water line that had been connected incorrectly.
Now, I spend most of my time behind the camera, working with musicians, businesses, and brands to tell their stories visually. But there’s something about being around experts in other fields—especially skilled trades like plumbing—that always elevates the end product. Watching the Pete Black team at work reminds me how important their craft is. A bad water connection might not seem like a big deal at first, but when it’s affecting an entire street, getting it fixed is critical.
It’s easy to take something like running water for granted—until it stops working. That’s where these guys come in, and seeing them work with such precision and expertise makes me appreciate the importance of their job. Just like in filmmaking, attention to detail matters. A wrong cut or a bad connection can throw off an entire project. That’s why I love working with people who take their craft seriously, no matter the industry.
Capturing moments like these on video isn’t just about showing the work—it’s about showing the dedication behind it. The Pete Black team isn’t just fixing pipes; they’re keeping the city running. And being able to tell that story visually? That’s the kind of work I get excited about.
Looking forward to the next adventure with these guys!
