Early Vegetative Growth: A Day on the Cannabis Farm

I’ve always enjoyed working with emerging industries, and filming at Rollganic Gardens with Rolland, Jason, and Alex was no exception. In industries like cannabis, marketing rules and regulations can change overnight, creating a dynamic environment where adaptability and innovation are essential. Working with them reminded me of my own approach to my business.

Watching Rolland, Jason, and Alex work with passion on their farm was truly inspiring. Their commitment to exploring new genetics and flavors is impressive, with nearly 100 varieties on display this year. They carefully select only a few flavors that truly fit their farm and meet consumer demands, showcasing the ever-evolving nature of this industry.

Their cultivation techniques are equally innovative. Using pots to prevent diseases and pathogens and opting for smaller pots to improve airflow, they aim for healthier plants and better harvests. Their unique location, with cool nights even in summer, enhances terpene and trichome production, offering a distinct advantage for high-quality cannabis extraction.

One of the most exciting aspects of working with Rollganic Gardens is witnessing their collaboration with seed breeders. They have access to unique genetics before they hit the market, experimenting with strains like Sour Diesel lineage and GMO crosses to offer exclusive flavors that aren’t available to home growers.

Sustainability and organic practices are at the heart of their operation. They focus on organic growing methods, minimizing the use of sprays, and relying on natural predator insects. Investing in high-quality soil and amendments, they create a sustainable environment that supports healthy plants without chemical interventions.

Filming this passion-driven process is more than just a job for me—it’s a mission and my calling in life. Being at Rollganic Gardens was a reminder of why I love what I do. I lead with my heart and operate with integrity, even to my own fault. In a world full of givers and takers, I strive to be among the former, focusing on community and genuine connection rather than mere profit. It’s about more than capturing images; it’s about sharing the stories of those who, like me, lead with their hearts and contribute positively to their communities.
